Hunter-Ed is excited to announce that our courses are now available in Spanish!

Expanding the course to reach Spanish speakers is part of our ongoing commitment to promote hunting safety to all. Adding an option to take a hunter education course in Spanish also makes it easier for more hunters to meet their state's requirements for hunter education.

What Is Available?

Hunter-Ed in Spanish offers the same curriculum as our English program, which has been approved by the states. These courses have also been approved by the IHEA-USA (International Hunter Education Association U.S.A.).

This means taking and passing the Spanish version of the course counts toward your hunter education requirement! Just be sure to check with your state wildlife agency to confirm if you'll also need an in-person class or field day to complete the requirement. Some states require the additional in-person portion, while others do not.

Who Translated the Courses Into Spanish?

We take quality and accuracy very seriously here at Hunter-Ed.

Our translation process consisted of three steps. These steps were:

  1. Initial translations were done via Machine Translation (MT) in the Transifex platform.
  2. The MT was reviewed and edited by certified Spanish linguists through Acclaro.
  3. Then, the Kalkomey Content team reviewed all of the content. Once satisfied, they approved the translations.

The result is an accurate online version of the state-approved material, designed to help Spanish-speaking hunters learn safety, hunting basics, ethics, and more.

About Hunter Education and Hunter-Ed

Hunter education saves lives in the field!

Most U.S. states require hunters to pass a hunter safety education course before getting a hunting license. Only an approved safety course helps meet this requirement (along with an in-person class for some states), and Hunter-Ed online courses are approved by IHEA and all 50 states.

In states that don't require an in-person class, Hunter-Ed's online course meets the full hunter education requirements.

Our courses provide essential information on responsible hunting practices, ethics, firearm safety, bowhunting safety, how to prevent falls from tree stands, basic hunting and shooting skills, and how to be a safe hunter every time you head out for a hunt.

Hunter-Ed courses include high-definition videos, scenarios, and quizzes to help you learn the required information and pass the final exam, after which you'll receive a hunter education card. Students can take courses on a computer or mobile device, making it easy to learn anywhere you can connect to the internet.

Take your Hunter-Ed course before heading out for a hunt this season! Whether in Spanish or English, we're here to help you stay safe in the field.
