- If you complete this course, you will not receive a second point if you then take the Arizona Hunter Education Course.
You must complete this course 30 days prior to draw deadline day for the point to go into effect for the upcoming draw.
This course does not certify you in Hunter Education and therefore will not allow you to hunt in states that require Hunter Education.

Conservation, Safety Rules, and Regulations
The EHA course has been designed for adult hunters. The course focuses on Arizona-specific conservation, safety rules, and regulations and is designed to expand your knowledge. This course dives into more complex concepts than the Hunter Education course and acts as a starting point for continued learning. Taking this course does not certify you in Arizona Hunter Education.
This course is administered by the Arizona Game and Fish Department Hunter Education Program for informational purposes only. Individuals should thoroughly read and understand the appropriate regulations prior to submitting an application or going afield. How do I get my Arizona Bonus Point?
One permanent bonus point will be awarded upon first graduation of either:
- A department-sanctioned Arizona Game and Fish Department Hunter Education course completed after January 1, 1980, or…
- The Department’s Ethically Hunting Arizona Course completed after January 1, 2021.
When will I receive my permanent bonus point?
The course must be passed 30 days prior to the draw deadline day for the bonus point to be valid for that particular draw. The bonus point will be applied to your AZGFD customer portal account within two weeks of completing the course.
Note: A certificate of completion can be downloaded once a passing grade has been achieved. Keep this certificate as proof of having completed the course.

You must be at least 18 years old to take this online course.
Do I have to be a resident to take the Ethically Hunting Arizona Course?
You do not have to be a resident of Arizona to take this online course.
About Your Course
Can I receive a second permanent bonus point if I've already completed the Arizona Hunter Education Course?
No, a hunter can earn only one permanent bonus point: either by completing the classroom-style Arizona Hunter Education Course or by taking the EHA course.
If I complete EHA, will I receive an Arizona Hunter Education certificate?
No, completing EHA does not fulfill hunter education requirements to hunt in other states.
Quizzes and/or Exams
I failed a unit quiz. Have I failed the course?
If you fail a unit quiz, you can take it again until you pass. You must score at least 80% on the unit quizzes to pass.
Do I have to take an online exam?
The Final Examination is taken at the end of the course. A hunter will have 2 opportunities to achieve a passing grade of 80%. Otherwise, it will be necessary to repay and take the course again.

What is the proof of online Ethically Hunting Arizona Course completion?
Once you pass the Final Examination and pay for the Ethically Hunting Education Certificate, you will be able to immediately print out the Ethically Hunting Course Completion Document. This is your proof of online course completion. You can print the Ethically Hunting Course Completion Document right then, and/or request that a PDF be emailed to you.
What is the permanent Arizona Ethically Hunting Education Certificate?
The Ethically Hunting Education Certificate is proof that you have successfully completed all the education requirements. The Ethically Hunting Education Certificate will be mailed to you by the Arizona Game and Fish Department after you complete all certification requirements.
