Ewe Characteristics: Horns and Ears

Bighorn ewes have:

  • A narrow horn base with horns that are shaped like a sickle (crescent) as shown in Photograph 1
  • Multiple rings on their horns when they are adults as shown in Photograph 2
  • Ears that are 4 to 4½ inches in length as shown in Photograph 3
