Camping Prudence
Many of the roads leading into the Arizona backcountry can become tricky to travel on when wet due to rains or snow. Think about how you will get your camp back out to paved roads from your chosen camping spot. Pulling heavy travel trailers or toy haulers into the back country on roads that will become deeply rutted and super slick to travel on is not advised.
Make alternative camping plans if heavy rains or snow become apparent. There are many developed campgrounds throughout Arizona’s game management units that will welcome hunters during inclement weather.
