Off-Trail Use
Illegal cross-country travel on OHVs can cause soil erosion and damage to fish and wildlife habitat. It also threatens the future of ethical OHV recreation.
Off-trail use on Arizona public lands is illegal. The only exception is in specific areas for retrieval of lawfully taken big game animals. Consult the land management agency responsible for the area and learn its specific rules and regulations.
- Stay on the main roads and trails.
- Pick your route carefully to minimize terrain damage.
- Don’t drive over crops or planted fields.
