Reporting Violations
To report a hunting violation, call the Iowa Turn In Poachers (TIP) hotline at 1-800-532-2020. If you contact the TIP hotline, you may remain anonymous and may receive a reward if your information leads to the arrest of a violator.
- Providing as much information as you can about the violation and violator helps natural resources law enforcement officers protect wildlife and stop poaching.
- If possible, record and report the date and time of the violation, the location, the name of the violator (if known), a description of the violator, the species involved, a description of the vehicle, the vehicle’s license plate number, and an explanation of the violation.
- You also may submit a report using the online TIP form. Using the online TIP form is not anonymous. However, your identity is confidential, and it is only available to law enforcement officers.
