Giving Away Wildlife

You may give wildlife (except for black bear gallbladders) to another person as long as it meets the following requirements:

• The wildlife was legally taken and possessed by you.
• The wildlife is given after completion of the day’s hunt.
• The wildlife is properly labeled with your information.

Wildlife that is given away will still be included in your daily limit for the day when taken. Wildlife received as a gift is included in the possession limit of the recipient. Wildlife (except for those reported through the Telecheck system) must be labeled with your full name, your address, your permit number, species, and the date taken. Wildlife reported through the Telecheck system must include your full name, your address, date taken, and Telecheck confirmation number.
