Do I have to take an online exam?
The Certification Exam is the exam you take at the end of the online course. You must score 90% on the exam to pass. You have unlimited attempts to pass the exam. If you don’t complete the exam in one session, don’t worry. When you log in later, you will be taken to the first unanswered question of the exam.
About Your Certification
Requirements to complete the Nevada Shed Antler Course.
Education is required annually to gather shed antlers between the dates of January 1 to April 30 and May 1 to June 30 if you are over the age of 12.

The Nevada Shed Antler Course Certificate expires every year on June 30.
Course Approval and Acceptance
Is the Nevada Shed Antler Course approved by the Nevada Department of Wildlife?
The Nevada Shed Antler Course is approved and accepted by the Nevada Department of Wildlife.
Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 503.172 now states the following:
A person shall not take or gather shed antlers from or on any public land located in Elko, Eureka, Lander, Lincoln, Nye, or White Pine Counties at any time from:
January 1 to April 30, inclusive.
May 1 to June 30, inclusive, unless the person:
- Is 12 years of age or older and has in his or her possession a certificate issued by the Department, or an agent designated by the Department, as proof that at any time during the current calendar year the person successfully completed the course of instruction in the responsible collection of shed antlers offered pursuant to subsection 2; or
- Is under 12 years of age and is accompanied by a person who:
- Is at least 18 years of age; and
- Had in his or her possession a certificate issued by the Department, or an agent designated by the Department, as proof that at any time during the current calendar year the person successfully completed the course of instruction in the responsible collection of shed antlers offered pursuant to subsection 2.
