Harassment of game animals
Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 503.010 subsection 1 states: Except as otherwise provided in this section or subsection 2 of NRS 503.005, it is unlawful to harass any game mammals or game birds by any means, including, without limitation, with a manned or unmanned aircraft, firearm, helicopter, horse, motorboat, motor-driven vehicle, noisemaker, or sailboat.
NRS 503.010 subsection 9c defines harassment of game animals as: “Harass” means to molest, chase, rally, concentrate, herd, intercept, torment or drive.
Use of manned or unmanned aerial vehicles
NAC 503.148 Use of aircraft, hot air balloons, unmanned aerial vehicles, satellites or other devices. (NRS 501.105, 501.181 In Part):
- Except as otherwise provided in this section, a person shall not, for the purpose of hunting, locate or observe, or assist a person in locating or observing, any big game mammal, game bird or fur-bearing mammal in a management unit described in NAC 504.210 during the period beginning on July 1 and ending on the last day of February of each calendar year with the use of:
- An aircraft, including, without limitation, any device that is used for navigation of, or flight in, the air;
- A hot air balloon or any other device that is lighter than air;
- An unmanned aerial vehicle; or
- A satellite or any other device that orbits the earth and is equipped to produce real-time images.
