Handguns
No one under 18 years of age may hunt with a handgun.
If you are on private land or a TWRA refuge, public hunting area, or wildlife management area, including the North Cherokee and South Cherokee WMAs, and have a valid Tennessee handgun carry permit:
- You may possess a handgun during the entire year.
- You may not hunt with a handgun unless you are in full compliance with all wildlife laws, rules, and regulations.
For handgun regulations on all other federally managed properties, such as refuges and military installations, contact the specific facility or location.
