Hunting Seasons

The TWRA has set the following permanent opening dates for certain game.

• Deer
  • Archery: Fourth Saturday in September
  • Gun: Saturday before Thanksgiving
  • Muzzleloader: Third Saturday before Thanksgiving
  • Young Sportsman: Last Saturday in October
• Grouse: Second Saturday in October
• Quail: First Saturday in November
• Rabbit: First Saturday in November
• Squirrel: Fourth Saturday in August
