Baiting and Feeding Regulations

It is illegal to hunt, chase with dogs, or attempt to kill game birds and animals from a baited site. This includes using bait for the purpose of taking or attempting to take any wild game bird or animal by:

• Occupying any baited blind or other baited location or…
• Putting out bait or salt.

The DWR discourages the feeding of wildlife at all times. In addition, it is illegal to:

• Feed bears at any time.
• Feed deer and elk at certain times.
