Furbearers That May Be Trapped with Cable Devices
Pennsylvania classifies the following species as furbearers: badger, fisher, mink, muskrat, opossum, river otter, pine marten, skunk (spotted and striped), beaver, raccoon, weasel (all species), fox (red and gray), bobcat, and coyote. Of these species, trappers may use:
- Cable restraint systems in land sets to capture foxes and coyotes.
- Cable restraints and snares in water sets for beavers and river otters.
