Unlawful Activities

In Pennsylvania, it is unlawful to:

• Use, set, tend, or operate a cable device having any lock not approved by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
• Set any cable device where entanglement may occur or in any manner which could result in an animal being suspended. Entanglement is only allowed with cable devices deployed in water for beavers and river otters.
• Use a device commonly known as a drag with any cable device.
• Equip a cable device with a spring-activating mechanism or any device designed to aid in the closing of the loop.
